Presidential Debate: Round 2
Personally, I didn't think the debate this time around was as exciting as the first. It was kind of lackluster. However, I do think Obama won again.
According to a poll this morning on MSN:
51% of the country thought Obama won
32% of the country thought McCain won
The remainder believed it was a tie or were undecided.
This is technically the 3rd debate that Obama has won because Biden was the clear winner of the Vice Presidential. This is some not so good news for the McCain campaign who is falling lower and lower in the polls.
DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER TO VOTE BY THE 15TH!

This Actually Happened
Today I was at the Town Hall because for some reason I had to re-register to vote. Registering there with me was a man in his 50's who had never voted before. I said, "If you don't mind me asking, how come you're registering to vote now." He looked me in the eyes and said, "Because if that psychotic woman and that Bush clone end up in the White House, I'm leaving the country."
I laughed, shook his hand and called him a man after my own heart.
REGISTER TO VOTE!!!! YOU ONLY HAVE UNTIL OCTOBER 15TH!!!

My Take on the Vice Presidential Debate
I would first like to apologize for saying the Vice Presidential Debate was on tonight. I hope all of you noticed that it was actually on last night.
As much as it pains me to say this, Sarah Palin actually did a pretty good job. It was not at all what I expected. Someone coached her very well to look continuously at the camera, unlike her running mate John McCain. At the beginning, it looked to be a complete opposite of the Presidential Debate, with Palin always looking at the camera and Joe Biden always looking at the moderator. However, he did begin looking at the camera and was able to connect with his audience.
I give props to Palin for trying to connect to the American people by talking as we would in conversation. However, it made her look very unprofessional and at some points, make her look like she had no idea what she was talking about. During the talk about same-sex rights, I believe Palin eloquently stated that she did not like gay people. The way she worded it made it seem pleasant. Also, Palin--ENOUGH with the hockey mom references and ENOUGH talking about Alaska. If you want to win votes outside of Alaska, talk about the country as a whole.
Biden won the sympathetic vote last night while talking about his wife and daughter who passed away. I think he also made a strong connection by looking into the camera and saying things such as, "I want to assure you, the American people..."
According to a general poll that I found on CNN.com, 51% of the country believes that Joe Biden won last night's debate. (http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/03/biden.palin.analysis/index.html)
Unfortunately, this is the only Vice Presidential Debate. I would love to see these two debate again.
